Definition
The Malta Gaming Authority is the principal regulator for online gambling in Malta. Established 2004, it administers the Gaming Act 2018 framework covering B2C Type 1-4 licences and the B2B Critical Gaming Supply Licence. Approximately 12% of Malta's GDP is generated through MGA-licensed iGaming operations.
