Definition
Spillemyndigheden is the Danish Gambling Authority operating since Denmark's 2012 online-gambling re-regulation under the Spilleloven. It issues online casino and betting licences for up to five years (2026 application fee DKK 343,300, or DKK 480,600 combined, plus an annual fee in eight GGR bands from DKK 73,200 to DKK 6,447,500) and, since 1 January 2025, supplier licences under § 24 a. The 28% gambling duty on gross gaming revenue is administered by the Danish Tax Agency, not by Spillemyndigheden. ROFUS (the central self-exclusion register) integration is mandatory.
