Definition
Remote Gaming Duty is the UK HMRC tax on Gross Gaming Revenue from UK-resident customers for remote casino-style gambling. The rate rose from 15% to 21% effective 1 October 2023. RGD does not apply to sports betting (General Betting Duty at 15%).
