The UK Government's April 2023 White Paper "High Stakes — Gambling Reform for the Digital Age" introduced the most substantive iGaming regulatory reform package since the 2005 Gambling Act. Affordability checks at GBP 500 monthly / GBP 1,000 yearly net-loss thresholds, online slots stake limits, Single Customer View, statutory levy from April 2025.
