Boletín N° 14.838-03 is the bill that would create an online betting licensing regime in Chile. Its progress is published in the Chamber of Deputies tramitación table, so it can be checked rather than taken on trust. It entered on 7 March 2022, was approved by the Chamber and sent to the Senate on 12 December 2023, and was approved in general by the Senate on 13 August 2025, with a deadline set for amendments. The particular discussion, where the tax rate, the licence term and any cap are actually decided, continues in the joint Economy and Finance committees. The government flagged suma urgencia, the highest grade of urgency, on 6 May 2026, and the table records no step after that date. Absent from the record are the entries that would mark enactment: no oficio de ley to the Executive, no Constitutional Court step, no promulgation and no law number. Approved in general is not approved, and any rate or term quoted from the current draft may not survive committee.
