Definition
Real Decreto 520/2026 of 24 June (BOE 25 June 2026) inserts art. 36 bis into RD 1614/2011: a player's deposits across every licensed operator are counted together against limits of EUR 700 a day, EUR 1,750 a week and EUR 3,300 per four weeks, with days running 06:00 to 06:00 and weeks from Tuesday. Operators must connect their limit systems to a DGOJ-run platform and refuse deposits the system flags. The per-operator defaults of EUR 600 / 1,500 / 3,000 (annex II) stay in place alongside. The decree enters into force on 25 March 2027; the higher guarantee amounts it sets apply from 1 January 2027 and the permanent-representative wording from 26 June 2026.
